SVN working

The project is now hosted at wordpress.org. I’ve uploaded the first release for testing purposes only. The plugin is usable, but there are still features missing. Read the previous post to find out whats missing.

Running into problems

The development of the plugin is in progress. Most of the regular features are working, but I still need to make the “set permissions quickly” and “copy permissions” form in the backend management section.

However, there are some problems that I’m facing at the moment. I can’t figure out how to hide the comments of hidden posts. At the moment, users without access to a protected post can still read the comments by visiting the comments feed.

I’ve signed up for a plugin hosting account at wordpress.org so hopefully the first release of the plugin will be available soon.

Intranet / Extranet plugin for WordPress

I’ve started developing a plugin for WordPress that will make it possible to allow named users to access specific content on a wordpress blog system.

Features:

  • Select users who will have access to posts/pages when writing/editing.
  • Quickly set permissions of many posts/pages without opening each one.
  • Copy permissions from one user to another.
  • Hide content of protected posts/pages.
  • Exclude protected posts/pages from appearing in the menu.
  • Exclude protected posts/pages from appearing in feeds.
