Since I now see users based rolls, but With 4500 users of which 1000 can access the extranet, its not the right tool yet (for me). I use an excellent role and autorization plugin that you can use to create groups of users.

This way the writing of a pasge or post and autorizing someone will be a lot easier. You can just select a group (using this plugin) or individual users (like now is available).

I will also ask my programmer to take a look at this and share the code once done.

Thanks so much for taking care of this so quickly. Your plugin provided me an easy, uncomplicated way to accomplish what I wanted to. I had tried using the Role Manager plugin, and it was way more than I needed. Your plugin is perfect!

- I have a page set up for each client with their individual account summary, with access limited to myself and the respective client. The pages were published, and I chose that particular client and myself in the list before publishing each page. Testing included: public viewing of the page (denied w/ a 404 error), and one client trying to view another client’s page (once again, denied w/ a 404 error). Each client was able to see their individual pages without issue.

I did encounter a confict with another plugin – Page Link Manager by Garrett Murphey. I was using that to exclude certain pages (including the client pages) from the site navigation. With both your plugin and the Page Link Manager plugin activated, the Page Link Manager plugin stopped working completely. I deactivated it and did a workaround using the &include= argument in wordpress_wp_list_pages for the site navigation. I’m not sure if this conflict can be resolved or not, but thought you might want to take a look into it.

You also might check compatibility between your plugin and Simply Exclude. I would image there may be a conflict there as well. I haven’t tested it, but I was using that plugin to keep the client pages and other posts out of the feed, archives, search, etc.

I’m getting ready to install your plugin in order to manage access for my clients to their individual account summary pages. Will let you know how it turns out.

I think the grouping functionality would be nice, but please keep the individual user capability – that’s the part that I need the most, and have had difficulty finding a plugin to do that.

Would this work during development of a site, online? That is, could you name one or two users who could see all the pages, while blocking all other visitors?

there are three of us working on a site, all in different countries, so using a local development platform is tricky. Maybe this would solve our problems?
